Welcome to the Boathouse at Bracebridge, one of the best restaurants in Sutton Coldfield for lakeside dining and modern British brasserie and bistro cooking.
Legend has it that during the 16th century this former hunting lodge was visited by Henry VIII. In the 19th century, The Boathouse was rebuilt in a 'romantic Gothic style', but then and now, step outside onto the terrace and some of the best bits of Sutton Park unfold in front of you, with stunning views across Bracebridge Pool - It's hard to believe that you are a few miles from Birmingham City Centre!
Inside, the dining room is a tasteful mix of the old and the new - blonde wooden floors, with long refectory tables, contemporary canvas art and soft lighting. This is the backdrop for dining in Sutton Coldfield at its best. You can enjoy a la carte dining or a table d'hote fixed menu at lunch or dinner, six days a week - see The Boathouse menus
The Boathouse is open for Sunday Lunch, offering a traditional 3 course Luncheon.
In keeping with the spirit of the times, The Boathouse does a 3 course credit crunch dinner, with a complimentary half a bottle of wine included, at £14.00 per person offering fantastic value for money. And did you know that the restaurant also has a lunchtime-only terrace menu, if you fancy a light bite whilst watching resident grey wagtails dancing and skipping across Bracebrdige Pool.
Whatever reason you come to the Boathouse, once you have experienced it you will want to return time and time again.
