Dates for your Diary: Forthcoming events at the Boathouse

Ladies Lunch at The Boathouse

Ladies That Lunch was an event started back in 2007. It gives ladies the opportunity to get together every 4-6 weeks to catch up with news & whatís been going on since they last saw each other. Usually there is a local business featured at each date which brings new ideas into their lives & home & makes the day even more eventful.

Such things as hair & beauty, wine tasting, cookery demonstrations, holistic therapy & modern art are to name but a few. Laurence & Fran believe that they should support local businesses as much as possible & the lunches have gone from strength to strength.

The average cost of the day is usually just £20.00 per lady for a three course lunch including a glass of wine. Firm friendships have been cemented since the lunch dates started & Fran herself joins the ladies giving individuals that may attend on their own the comfort in the knowledge that they will be made welcome & introduced to others.

St. Patrick's Night - March 2010

St. Patrick's Night also has always been followed faithfully and, as chef patron, Laurence O'Meara, is himself indeed a native of the Emerald Isle, it seems right and proper that this would be an annual theme night. With traditional Irish fare being served to the sounds of Irish music this is a truly magical event and lots of fun.
